11/19/2023 0 Comments Install plex media server ubuntu 20.04![]() #Set user and group for the process if desired I manage to make it running only with the terminal open. I could not find a init.d script for Bazarr to be running in the background. In the software part there's one or two things that I am trying to solve: It has being resting in a drawer for the last year. I am really surprised how a phone that was one step to the garbage could do such a thing!! So PMS works fine apparently but I will add more files to it for further testing. and worked flawlessly while streaming other tvshow to my phone.Īfter that, transcoding the 1080p tvshow and streaming to other phone? No problem!! Then I proceed to view the 1080p tv show with 6GB that I was downloading previously. I tested again but this time I have tried the to transcoding a 720p video to the TV and. and it worked while downloading a torrent with 6Gb size in transmission. One to a TV and the other to a phone simultaneously. Since I only had 2 tv shows that Sonarr had downloaded in 720p I decided to stream both files. The server started!! I was amazed, so I went to test the thing. Then I saw the file Plex Media Server so I did the command. I search for a while and messed around in the /etc/init.d/plexmediaserver service and that lead me to the path /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/ nothing happened but it seemed to be installed in the system but not running though. Then I try to install the ARMv8 version and. Then I proceed to install Plex Media Server and went straight to install the amd64 version but that didn't work. My only problem is the free space to download stuff, but more of that in the item 4) of the part 2.3 - Minor troubleshooting. So at this time I have Jackett (Indexer), Radarr (Movies), Sonarr (TVSHows), Lidarr (Music), Bazarr (Subtitles), Transmission (Torrent) working together and working fine in the phone. Today I just installed Bazarr for fetching subtitles and it's works too! Some scrips I could find in the internet and was just a case of copy them no that directory using nano. So I have created a service for all of them in the /etc/init.d/. The tricky part for me was for easing the start of this packages every time I start Termux. Configured Sonarr to run with them and everything worked like a charm!!! Then I proceed to install Jacket and Transmission. Since I am more used-to them I run Sonarr and Radarr the same way - although I kept the Couchpotato and Sickbeard installed too. However I encounter an error with Headphones due to a used port so I give a shot with Lidarr in which I succeed running it with mono. So basically I've followed the installation instructions for Ubuntu starting with the Couchpotato software, Sick Beard and Headphones. Part 2.1 - Necessary Files and Torrent Managers ✔️ - done | □ - working on it | ❌ - Failed | ( - Installed but not using it) Part 2 - Installing files, Torrent/File managers and Plex Media Server.įor the next part I needed to install in the phone the following software that I had running in my desktop PC: PS: It will also be needed to install more Termux packages to access the external HDD so I'll add this info later as soon as possible: Since this is a battery powered device that will be always plugged in this step is only be needed to make once in a wile. So after every phone shutdown (or killing Termux running in the background) I just open the Termux app and type sshd to enabling the SSH server. Then I proceed to install other required software such as git, phyton, nano, tar, zip or mono for example but this software was been required by following the instructions on how to install the software I needed. Next step was to remotely access the Termux thought SSH from my laptop to run Ubuntu-In-Termux and install some Linux packages. ✔️ - done | □ - working on it | ❌ - Failed | (. ![]() PS: I am not a programmer and I do not know how to code, I just used the existing stuff to build this project.įirst I changed in Android settings so it wont turn off the Termux app when the phone is in stand by mode and then proceed to install: So I have installed Termux to try to replace my old PC Desktop job.Īlso the phone is not rooted, at least for now, and I started this way: I got one Xiaomi Mi Note 5 that the only problem was a shatter front glass and think for myself "why not?". In the next days thinking about it I change my mind and since I've some Android phones around and I thought to give them a try. For this I was thinking in using a Raspberry PI, so I open a post in the r/RASPBERRY_PI_PROJECTS to know the viability of what I wanted, however. I am trying to replace my old PC Desktop that I used kinda like a seedbox to download and to stream content to my smartTV but since it consumes a lot of power running it 24/7 and I am thinking of replacing it for a ARM based processor.
